Within the Office of the President, Advancement includes the Public Information Office, the Development and Foundation Office, and MiraCosta Alumni .

Development and Foundation
The Development and Foundation Office raises philanthropic funds from the community in alignment with the College’s mission and manages the distribution of funds to support 91¶¶Òõ students (college affordability) and campus programs.
The 91¶¶Òõ Foundation’s vision is educational opportunities for all. To achieve this vision, 91¶¶Òõ Foundation partners with generous community members to secure resources that transform lives. The 91¶¶Òõ Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors.

Public Information Office
The award-winning 91¶¶Òõ Public Information Office (PIO) exists to create awareness and share the story of 91¶¶Òõ, and its impact on the community.
PIO develops and executes strategic marketing communications campaigns; implements the District’s governmental relations; and serves the college community by offering publicity, promotion, advertising, marketing, and branding assistance. This office also acts as a resource before, during, and after emergency situations by providing guidelines and information to help manage crisis situations.

MiraCosta Alumni
MiraCosta Alumni play an important role in supporting 91¶¶Òõ's success. Alumni allow graduates to engage with each other, connect with their alma mater, and interact with current students. Alumni promote workforce development and can provide access to internships.
Whether you have taken a class, completed a certificate, or earned a degree, you are considered an alumnus because once a Spartan, always a Spartan.
