The last day to register to vote for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election is October 20, 2025.
How to Vote
Under the California Voter’s Choice Act, every active registered voter in San Diego County will receive a ballot in the mail the week of October 6, 2025, for the special election. Voters throughout the state will decide whether to adopt Proposition 50, an amendment to the State Constitution related to redistricting. Check your voter registration status anytime to make sure it is current, and you are eligible to vote in the next election. You should be registered to vote at least 15 days before an election.
