To schedule appointments, please call the EOPS/CalWORKs Office at 760.795.6680.
Step 1 - Make a CalWORKs Intake/Orientation Appointment*
What to expect: During your Intake appointment with a CalWORKs counselor, you will complete an intake form that includes personal demographic information, the number of children in your household, and your county case manager's contact information.
What to expect: During your Orientation appointment, a CalWORKs counselor will review program requirements, student responsibilities, and the supportive services available for you. You will also have time to ask any questions you may have.
*Depending on the time needed for the intake appointment, this may require two separate appointments.
Step 2 - Make an appointment for an individual training plan (ITP)
What to Expect: During your ITP appointment, a CalWORKs counselor will complete:
- An Individual Training Plan
- A materials request form
These forms are used to develop your Welfare-to-Work plan in coordination with your county case manager. They will help to determine eligibility for supportive services from the county.
Step 3 - Make an appointment for a student education plan (SEP)
What to expect: During this appointment you will meet with a CalWORKs counselor to discuss your educational goals and prepare your pathway to success. A Student Education Plan is necessary to determine eligibility for graduation and Federal Financial Aid assistance.
